Faurecia, one of the world’s largest car component manufactures, needed to hire a new workforce to help them support BMW Mini. Our task was to design and execute an assessment, selection and training programme for 280 employees to guarantee that the start-up of this new facility was problem-free.
The labour to satisfy the demand was not available in the commutable area so a second source (Eastern Europe) was used to source recruits. The assessment and training programmes needed to accommodate different languages, cultures and behaviours.
The workforce was completely outsourced by the client to a managed workforce provider who had strict requirements for multi-skilling and performance levels in their SLA.
We prepared an extensive, critical path driven, project plan including required resources. Carried out an extensive TNA (training needs analysis) with the client and designed an assessment and training programme to test for the attitude skills and knowledge. The assessment and training programmes included filters and testing to ensure that these performance requirements were achieved.
The programme has been used as an exemplar by Faurecia. The elements of the Jigsaw training programme are still in place today leaving the client with a sustainable system of assessment and training. The project was delivered on time and budgetBack to all case studies
