Recruiting into the Marine sector doesn’t have to be all at sea

At a recent conference I attended as part of the London International Shipping Week, the general view was that it is becoming more difficult to fill vital shore-based posts. This is due to an inadequate number of skilled and experienced seafarers entering the industry at cadet level. With this shortage in mind, I continue to maintain regular contact with our seafarers, always on hand to support them into a suitable shore-based role in the future. I am also in regular contact with candidates looking to enter into the Shore-Based Marine industry either straight from further education, or stepping across from similar industries such as Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy

With over 18 years recruitment experience, the last 8 in Marine Recruitment, I have the expertise to help individuals make the transition and the additional support and advice I can offer gives applicants extra reassurance and clients the comfort of knowing they have the right candidate to fill their vacancy.
