Job Description
The Quality Environment Health & Safety (QEHS) Specialist is part of the Quality Management & Compliance (QMC) team, located at our European facility in the Netherlands, and will be responsible for defining the requirements and upholding the standards according to the national legislation on QEHS. The QEHS Specialist creates risk awareness and assesses the use of set requirements within the organization by management and employees, coordinated with the central QMC function.
General Responsibilities
- Embedding and embracing our cultures and values as we move towards one company with shared visions and goals.
- Utilizing the central standards and policies and implementing them in line with MPM requirements and country legislation.
- Advising management of changes in processes, investments in location and/or technology etc. to ensure QEHS standards and legislation are met.
- Identifying and recording QEHS incidents, using risk-assessment to align with management for priority setting, ensuring proper measurements are determined (making use of external expertise, work processes, systems, registrations etc.).
- Informing management and employees about QEHS measurements and making staff aware of QEHS risks and the importance of measurements taken to reduce these risks.
- Leading the compliance of the management system certifications related to the MPM entity (e.g. ISO 9001), including (internal) audits with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as well as the further development of the systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve QEHS and that these are translated into solutions (measurements, work instructions etc.) in close cooperation with the responsible Business Process Owners.
- Supporting Supplier Qualification & Development (SQD) teams for the audit of suppliers, especially for chemical content.
- Reporting QEHS results to the business and external authorities according to the business standards and policies. Ensuring the results, incidents and trends are explained.
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of QEHS standards, legislation, and certifications (ISO 9001, PGS15, EU REACH, GHS, CLP and ADR); qualification as an Auditor
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal as writing
