To implement sales objectives and strategies, maximising sales of AWP and Spares Parts that will ensure the achievement of budgeted sales. Accountability for the growth of business in Italy.

* Experience in sales, tender and quote preparations

* Client & competitors product knowledge and understanding of customer applications

* Commercial understanding of sales achievement and development of business and added value selling with service

 

Understanding of regulatory, compliance, safety and risk management procedural impacts on the business.

Business Development

* Develop regional sales plans and strategies which aligns with the overall sales and marketing strategy to ensure achievement of budgeted regional sales objectives.

* Develop regional sales plans and strategies which will ensure that our Client is the AWP Company of first choice for customers.

* Make effective presentations, training and demonstrations as required at locations throughout the area of responsibility to distributor personnel and customer decision makers at all levels to effectively promote new sales business.

* Ensure that plans and strategies are effectively implemented within the designated region.

* Develop sales opportunities with a high degree of conversion to profitable sales in your territory.

* Achieve monthly call targets.

* Monitor and analyse regional business sales performance and the effectiveness of plans and strategies and implement corrective action where necessary.

* Adhere to unit pricing structures that will underpin the achievement of business sales objectives.

* Build and maintain relationships with key account customers so as to ensure that our Client becomes the company of first choice.

* Provide local input to customer needs, competitor performance and market trends

* Convert identified opportunities for sales in to order shore up our Client position in the market or a segment.

* Manage the negotiation of profitable agreements with key customers and in doing so ensure a positive outcome for both our Client and the customer

* Develop open communication lines to enable customers to assist our Client in the review of our service levels, and / or to take advantage of business opportunities.

* Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of our Client’s customer relationship management technology, and the development and implementation of profitable services and solutions, and or alternative profitable services or solutions if needed.

* Monitor and analyse customer profitability and resolve outstanding local customer payment issues to ensure business debtors performance

* Provide local market intelligence for strategic planning purposes

* Prepare tenders for local major sales in conjunction with European Regional Sales Manager

* Analyse & define business trends, & market requirements, competitor activities / threats and business development opportunities that can be used to underpin profitable sales plans and strategies.

* Review local market intelligence.

* Work together with the broader sales team and other functional teams to capitalise on opportunities to grow the business

* Research the local market to gain an understanding of proposed growth areas and customer requirements.

* Analyse local competitors to ascertain their growth areas and products which may provide our Client with development opportunities.

* Research and monitor competition to leverage advantages and understand weaknesses.

* Work together with the broader sales team and other functional teams to capitalise on opportunities to grow the business

* Research the local market to gain an understanding of proposed growth areas and customer requirements.

* Analyse local competitors to ascertain their growth areas and products which may provide our Client with development opportunities.

* Research and monitor competition to leverage advantages and understand weaknesses.

Safety

* Monitor effectiveness of local training and hazard identification, assessment and control of workplace hazards.

* Manage safety in the workplace ensuring all employees are wearing protective clothing where appropriate and safe working practices are carried out.

* Follow all safety instructions and use personal protective equipment provided.

* Report all injuries, incidents and hazards in accordance with our Client’s procedures.

* Promote and ensure safe work practices.

Key Performance Indicators

* Nil lost time injuries

* Achievement of region budgeted sales performance targets

* Achievement of personal sales target within allocated region

* Key account relationships are effectively maintained to maximise sales opportunities

* Weekly call reports submitted within 2 working days of end of week

* Monthly sales reports submitted within 5 working days after end of month

* High level of customer satisfaction regionally

* Nil customer complaints attributed to credibility of sales solution provided to customer

* Client brand within area of responsibility is viewed as credible and strong relative to competitors

* Client brand is promoted effectively within region

* High level of communication within team and with other business areas that promotes a team approach of cooperation and information sharing.

* Behaviour and attitude that promotes the business to employees, customers, and suppliers

* Nil harassment and discrimination issues with team
