The Sourcing Project Management Office (Sourcing PMO) within the Global Operations Procurement COE is seeking a Project Manager to work with local and global Sourcing, Operations and Business teams in managing New Product Develop (NPD) and Change Management (CM) programs in support of revenue, productivity, design and quality improvements. 

The Sourcing Project Manager will manage all Supply Chain aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and Change Management (CM) program lifecycle and utilize the necessary training, processes and procedures, toolsets, and communication plan to effectively execute across the organization.   

The successful candidate will act as the focal point for Supply Chain NPD/CM activities on assigned programs, and will be required to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and long-term business goals.  He/she will be accountable for timely execution of projects and will work within a cross-functional team.  Interaction with Engineering, Planning, Operations and peers within the Sourcing and Procurement community will be paramount. Working across time zones and physical locations will enable the candidate to gain vast experience in a global network and will challenge the individual to maintain exceptional organizational and prioritization skills. 

Position responsibilities:  

  • Execution of Supply Chain NPD and CM programs (Growth, Design, Capacity, Supply). 
  • Manage the entire Project Lifecycle; Concept, Development, Pre-launch and Production phases.  
  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities to complete assigned projects and ensure projects are completed within prescribed schedule and budget.  
  • Actively maintain Project Plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed of program status, risks and issues and performance. 
  • Interact with all stakeholders to maintain a high-level of effective communications and resolve problems and issues as they arise. 
  • Manage and coordinate resource needs as appropriate within Global Operations which includes; Supplier Management, Quality, Production, Engineering, etc. 
  • Assign work and ensure tasks are completed on-time. 
  • Track and measure performance at each phase of the NPD/CM process.  
  • Prepare status reports. 
  • Align with all applicable functional and quality policies and procedures. 
  • Execution of the NPD/CM process is a direct deliverable as are maintaining communication of progress and knowing and having “ethical courage” to escalate and ensure projects are on-time and on-budget.

Essential requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business administration or Supply Chain. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in the tech market. 
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills. 
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 
  • Automotive industry experience desired. 
  • Travel disposition – 5% of the time. 
  • Fluent English required. 
  • Collaboration and project management skills. 
  • Procurement or Sourcing experience is a plus. 
  • Experience in MS Project is a plus. 
  • Proficient in using MS Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. 
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to show initiative and work independently.
