Job Overview:

The Project Manager is leading all required activities and resources allowing controlling the deliverables at the serial production phase on the production site.

All this at the desired quality that defined by our customers and marginally as approved by management.

Project management at the production site, start from the handover from design to serial production, with respect to project timing, budget control, and parts quality.

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Manage the detailed project timing according to customer requirements and other constraints.
  • Manage the project deliverables in the MS-Project according to company procedures.
  • Obtain solutions to issues/bottle necks together with the relevant team members (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply chain).
  • Communication and representing the company in front of the customer with coordination with the marketing department (Technical, Financial, Timing, Quality).
  • Continues communication with the HQ PM until full and successful handover the project to the plant and serial production.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for optimizing costs and quality.
  • Responsibility for the project tasks while manage and control matrix operation of the internal and external organizational work interfaces defined for the project.
  • Manage the project budget. Perform cost reductions and improve the project’s profitability.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent degree.

Previous job experience –

  • Experience in project management – required
  • Experience in building a schedule – required
  • Experience in budget control – an advantage
  • Working with suppliers and customers- required
  • Knowledge in reading drawings / 3D – required

Required knowledge

  • Introduction and training for automotive quality terms and planning (PFD / PFMEA / PLCP, CP, capability studies / Ppk / Cpk, R@R).
  • Understanding of thermoplastic injection molding technology.

Main interfaces

  • Interfacing with the customer at the customer sites
  • Engineering and Quality department – matrix management of departmental tasks, meeting project schedules.
  • Purchasing and logistics – price offers, providing samples, deliveries, contracts for new projects.
  • Supply chain – building safety stock on sites, SOP deliveries.
  • Marketing – Support pricing of engineering changes, budget control, and collaboration with Resident Engineer.
  • Collaborative with project managers at production sites.
  • Working with global suppliers and customers.
