Production Planner

Job Overview:
As a Production Planner, you will interact closely with employees in production, quality assurance, supply chain, and shift leaders. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating schedules, ensuring smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards across all departments.
Responsibilities:
- Planning production according to current customer call-offs
- Coordinating with toolmaking staff regarding tool repairs and preventive maintenance of tools
- Coordinating with project management staff regarding sampling, R@Rs, or advance planning
- Reporting to production management regarding reasons for non-compliance with the production plan
- Conducting the Next-Week-Meeting
- Creating and closing work orders
- Monitoring missing parts lists
- Coordinating with shift leaders regarding the processing status of missing parts lists and repacking/special work
- Creating shift forecasts including indication of staffing needs
- Updating the Operation Planner to efficiently plan production
- Entering feedback slips into the ERP system
- Recording current empty container inventory
- Supporting compliance with guidelines regarding IATF 16949 processes and 5S rules
- Contributing to continuous improvement processes (CIP)
- Supporting company activities in health, occupational safety, and environmental protection
- Economical and conscious handling of all environmentally relevant resources (energy, input materials, auxiliary/operating materials)
- Implementing all environmental and occupational safety-related requirements
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
- Completed commercial/technical vocational training or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in production planning – desirable but not required
- High level of commitment and independence as well as strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Team orientation
Experience and Skills:
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient use of the ERP system
- Independent working
- Teamwork ability
- Persistence in routine tasks
Language Skills
- Good knowledge of spelling and grammar in German – preferably native.
- Good written and spoken English.
